Originally the plan was to create a site for buyers to peruse and sellers to list
properties. However, it soon became apparent that there were hundreds of sites
with the same objective, yet not a single site dedicated to the process of rent to
own home ownership. The site was revamped to address the issues inherent in
the rent to own home market. Issues such as: how rent to own works, or does not
work; the many terms associated with rent to own (lease purchase, land contract,
etc.); credit and down payment qualifiers.
In 2011 rent to own is in fact a much bigger activity then it was five years ago.
With the increase in activity and consumer awareness of the dare we say
'necessity' of rent to own homes is the constant battle with fraud and abuse. Our
goal is to provide good quality content and information to the consumer so that
he/she will avoid the pitfalls and not become victimized in the process.
